Being a fairly comfortable, retired old git I have been amazed at the 'justification' responses on this subject from Brownie downwards.
As a member of Apathy Unlimited I have not felt the urge to complain openly in the past few years.
However, I feel so insensed at the hubris shown by polititians in this matter, I will be making my feelings felt to whoever will listen.
My first move is an email to Brownie at 'Number10.gov.uk'.
I hope I can urge others TO DO SOMETHING !
It is disgusting. Why would anyone want to put nappies down as an expense?
Go for it Torryloon. Who do they think they are being allowed to claim expenses for stupid trival things. They earn enough money as it is. For the goverment! _________________ FOA BOB -
With yet more senior politicians embroiled in the latest tranche of claims revelations, former Commons deputy Speaker Lord Naseby said an early general election was needed to save the "foundations of democracy".
The call came as the House authorities mounted a desperate rear-guard action to shore up trust in the allowances regime.
An independent audit unit is to be created - at a cost of £600,000 a year - to monitor claims.
Well folks, I think my personal campaign against these flipping, conning, screwing leaches is beginning to have some success !!
Methinks poison dwarf bleary, repentant Duncky and some others have had a peek at my posts here and encouraged broonie, cameroonie and whatsisname ?? eemmm compo's pal !! to take some action.
Gently does it, but I'll be pleased to monitor all the cheques repaying 'expenses' whether they are beandished for the TV or sneaked in the back door !!!
Watch this space and thank you all for your support
