Aberlour Pack Horse Bridge...Why would I post an old newspaper clip of an old bridge at Charlestown of Aberlour, Speyside?
Because I am in it!

Duncan
I am pointing at the fish in the water!

Red ants had a nest on the bridge

The bridge is still there torryloon and it is on the way out of Aberlour towards Grantown-on-Spey just on the other side of the main road from the distillery (on the right before you climb the steep hill).
It is on the path used to go down to the Football Field.
I think it would have been taken in the 1970's by a P&J Photographer looking for another story on his way back from some other story he had covered.
We were at school and on out way down to do a quick bit of fishing and to see if any fish had been caught on the Spey that day. This was the quickest way from the school to the river. We were allowed to fish in the burn then, but it is not allowed now.
Health and safety and all that!
The school is at the other end of Aberlour now and by the time you got there, it would be time to go back again.
