FishingWhy do fishermen leave tackle, line and weights discarded in our local rivers? Its such a health hazard for our natural wildlife

You are in Netherlands misses, I can't comment on their behaviour.
I will say that most fishermen here are responsible and take their discarded line and tackle and rubbish home with them.
Both me and my son (who has just started fishing) takes all our rubbish and discarded things home with us.
Do they just abandoned it in the Netherlands?

I always pick up any discarded tackle I see when fishing. It really burns my ass when inconsiderate people leave garbage around our lakes and rivers. It makes me wonder if they live that way at home.
