Just back from seeing this film.
If you are a Trekie you will enjoy it.
It didn't forget all the bits that have gone before (forgive the pun ), like when Kirk cheated in passing the Space Academy test, or that Bones is afraid of flying.
Not done to the standard of Star Trek (The motion Picture) but none the less it starts from when Krik and Spock were children and quickly takes you to where they join the Enterprise.
Old Spock also puts in an appearance, he is looking very old and I don't think it is all make up! He must be getting on a bit anyway.
There were funny bits in it though, but I think the cutting room was a bit too hash, they could have left more in to make the story flow a bit better.
I found it funny the way the picture house would all laugh at something at the front and the rear would laugh at something else.
I think a couple of beers would have made it better, but then I might have missed bits!
Thanks for info as eh wasn't sure if I really wanted to see it, as eh am a Trekie fan and thocht they might murder it, ken whut eh mean. _________________ Yir nivir to auld tae learn! Wee John.
