OK, at the very latest, the current government have to go to the country and announce a general election, by May 2010.
So, in your estimation, what will be the result (i.e. who will win) the next general election?

England will vote Tory, ergo the Tories will form the next Westminster Government.
Even if every voter in Scotland voted Labour, it would make no difference. The English voters determine which party governs in Westminster.
The last time this happened Scotland voted overwhelmingly for Labour but had a Tory Party foisted upon by England. The fifty Labour MPs sent to Westminster from Scotland did absolutely nothing except collect their pay and expenses . They became known as 'The Feeble Fifty'.
The only way to make sure Scotland is truly represented is for Scotland to vote SNP. _________________ Thought For The day
