There has been a few issues with Xp SP3...........
If you have an AMD processor or an HP computer you would be advised to read this first.

You can delay Xp SP3 installing for a year here: Microsoft Help
Just look for the DOWNLOAD and run it.

The list of problems people are getting with Xp SP3 are growing every day.
It may be wise to give it a miss for now till the bugs are fixed.
