Dozens of people have braved the cold North Sea for Aberdeen's annual Nippy Dipper Boxing Day plunge to raise money for charity.
Thousands of pounds are raised each year at the Aberdeen Lions Club event at the beach.
About 100 dippers took part, including Olympic swimmer Keri-Anne Payne and many others in fancy dress.
They raise funds for their own charity or the Lions Club's designated charity - the Lord Provost's Charitable Trust.
Lions Club organiser Marit Ellefsen said the Nippy Dipper was a "fantastic event to blow away the Christmas cobwebs, have some fun and raise money for local good causes".
The dip took place opposite the Beach Leisure Centre where onlookers had gathered to watch the brave swimmers.
