Being as this place is largely about the Jockanese, why doesn't one of you submit an article on kilts and the wearing & history of the different tartans?

Then someone else could do a piece separating fact from fiction, myth from legend on all things Celtic? The Gaels, Picts & Jutes type coverage.

Both topics would draw feedback and input from across the growing membership.

What a good idea.  Wee John do you have any information from the states that could be of interest?

I have found a good website   Tartans of Scotland

I think I might suit the odd one out

A few flashes of colour might enhance it a wee bit

What do you think?

For those that would like to read more about kilts, see pictures and read interesting articles, The Scottish Banner is a great little paper.  Lots of news and Lady Fiona MacGregor, wife of the clan chief, writes about the borders every issue.  Highly recommended.

A Chinese-Scottish tartan has been created to strengthen links between the two countries.

It was inspired by Chinese Consul General Madame Guo Guifang, who said tartan was a key to the appeal Scotland holds for Chinese tourists.

Och Aye.  Ei Chai!

"Scots to Chinese Translations" - only three British pounds and fifty pence!

There is a rather annoying thread appearing in various parts of this forum.
